When we say Garden to Table, we really mean it!
Lettuce freshly harvested from Spottiswoode Community Garden was turned into mouth-watering dishes at Garden to Table event this morning at Cairnhill CC!
Our guest speaker Mr Roy Fung, Garden Lead of Spottiswoode Community Garden, generously shared with us how he converted the community garden into a mini organic farm to grow vegetables for the residents and how he made his own Vermicast and Worm Tea as fertiliser for the vegetables!
Using the lettuce from Spottiswoode Garden, Chef Felicia Tan then filled the hall with savoury aroma as she whipped up scrumptious Zuppa Toscano and Corn Gratin using these fresh ingredients! Check out her recipes at the end of the pictures! Kids who resist vegetables came for a fourth helping of the Zuppa Toscano! Try them at home!
